People are always trying to move forward and seek happiness, a paradox, but in this search often lose the most important and the greatest happiness, and most people have become accustomed to the usual story, but our greatest wealth is the simplicity of our will. We say. Unfortunately, we forget that “the human soul is much heavier than the body, so heavy that one person cannot wear it, so as long as we are alive, we must shake hands with each other”…

Yesterday, March 18, 2023, together with the Fermata Arts Foundation, we presented another presentation at the State of Connecticut, in New Britain public library.
I entered the hall of the presentation at 11:47 and started preparing for a hurried tempo, exactly noon we started the presentation event, traditionally, with Mr. Nikolay Synkov’s performance called ‘Civilization’. Initially, the audience was not present in the audience, but a few minutes after the presentation, several people entered the lecture.
As part of the time regulations, I was trying to be as cognitive as possible and at least in the general details I could have some idea of the history of Georgia and the Transcaucasus to attend the audience.
In this case, the public proved to be quite curious, while still presenting, they asked quite a lot of questions, and the questions were mainly about general regional and political geography, as well as some of the ethnic and religious conditions in the region.
In one part of the presentation, I am talking about the old states on the territory of Georgia and naturally, I can’t talk about Iberia. Later, I added all of this to the uniqueness of our historical polyphonic folk songs and of course the story of many millennial histories of wine.
With the facts I have referred to in the Caucasus Iberia, one of the listeners inquired, and after the end of the lecture I explained everything about the existence of two Iberia. Men, of descent, turned out to have Spanish roots, and we talked in a short conversation, about the similarities of our cultures and folk wealth, after the conversation he gave me a hand and told me – we are relatives! We laughed, and at last, we warmly separated from each other as the real Iberians. We can not say anything about ethnical similarities, however, we are close to our Western Sechs. The public was very interested, in Mr. Nikolai Synkov, a post-presentation lecture, and a slideshow analysis. Within the framework of analytical hacking, he spoke about today’s acute problems in Ukraine and around the world, as well as the importance of the American people’s involvement in world problems.
Unfortunately, I saw the library’s staff for only a few minutes, and it was not possible to talk between us, though I think that the event was quite cognitive and interesting, including for me, because I feel that, I gained a huge experience after every presentation.

Tbilisi is a strange city, it has many faces…
I am ashamed that during the city war, when brothers were killing each other in the center of Tbilisi, people were arguing about the price of walnuts and broth at the desert market, and excitedly preparing to spread the festive table.
Anger chokes me when I remember the war of 2008… I could hear the phrase on television to scare the people of Tbilisi, to achieve their peace of mind: “Don’t be afraid, the tanks have turned to Orchosan”. (Orchosani is a small village near Tbilisi), the main thing is that we are no longer in danger – this was the attitude of Tbilisi snobs…
but…
This is the city where the democrats and revolutionaries who were exiled all over the world found refuge in the Nadzaladevi district.
This is the city where the people of Plekhanov put Kika (a famous person from Tbilisi) dressed in a thrift shop costume in a car to promote Khrushchev and thus expressed their protest against the anti-Georgian hysteria of the General Secretary.
This is the city where hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets to protect their mother tongue without an organizer. The voice spread by itself among the people, the media did not announce the demonstration, and no one could speak about the gathering out loud.
This is the city where the squares were filled to strengthen the environmentalist positions of Professor Levan Asatiani, Professor Merab Aleksidze, Professor Givi Tumanishvili, to save Svaneti (one of the regions of Georgia), to destroy the Transcaucasian railway project.
This is the city where my grandfather didn’t let his children watch the TV, because the next-door neighbor died, and the sound doesn’t come out, it’s a shame; where my grandmother always kept separate chocolates in the chest of drawers (we still knew, we had detectors) and pristine bed linen for guests coming from West Georgia; Where the doctor Koba Petriashvili walked through the darkened and gang-filled city in the middle of the night to calm the nervous mother due to her son’s high temperature and bring medicine to the child.

Georgian Sentiments & Protest Culture

Along with the general history, Georgians also have a great protest culture.
On February 25, 1956, at the meeting of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Nikita Khrushchev made a speech in which he condemned the cult of Joseph Stalin. Khrushchev’s speech caused concern among many citizens of the Soviet Union. Since March, protests have started in Tbilisi and other cities. Georgian students walked the streets of Tbilisi with portraits of Stalin and Lenin.
The demonstrations in Tbilisi were brutally suppressed in blood.
However, we were left with a way of expressing protest, which was very innovative at that time.
According to the report, the students of the Tbilisi Academy of Arts painted a portrait of Stalin on a balloon in the Tbilisi Air Defense Armament and show their solidarity with the protesters.
Despite the party’s restriction of Georgian nationalism, Khrushchev’s policy of de-Stalinization was, paradoxically, a blow to Georgian national pride. The younger generation of the Georgians, not fully acquainted with the darker side of Stalin’s rule and bred on the panegyrics and permanent praise of the “genius” of Stalin, was proud to consider him a Georgian that ruled over great Russia, and, as believed widely, dominated the world. Now, Stalin’s denigration was seen as a symbol of the mistreatment of Georgian national consciousness at the hands of the Russian/Soviet rulers.
Patriotic sentiment mixed with the political protest was further inflamed by the sarcastic and bitter manner in which Khrushchev ascribed all horrors of the era to the “genial” leader Stalin, whom, as he ironically put it, the Georgians so much enjoyed calling “the great son of the Georgian nation”. Eduard Shevardnadze, then a Komsomol leader in Kutaisi and eventually to become President of post-Soviet Georgia, later recalled that Khrushchev’s ironic remark on Georgians at the end of his speech was particularly hurtful to the pride of Georgian youth.
The painful reaction caused by de-Stalinization in Georgia has been variously interpreted. It has been seen by many as a revival of Stalinism and by others as the first open expression of Georgian nationalism since the abortive revolt in 1924.

It is still col in here

The gray winter of March does not leave us, to warm up from the cold weather, we decided to remove the snow from the driveway.
3:00 pm I started the snow removal operation, first I armed myself with a large snow shovel and began to clear the main roads, my activity coincided with the deterioration of meteorological conditions, a strong cold wind came up, which slowed my progress, but I soon got into line and resumed work, about 3:34 pm The main road and footpath were cleared, then I went about the protocol and started sanding the paths, which took about 15-20 minutes.
Unfortunately, the crappy weather is progressing, but I hope that spring will gather strength and the cold rainy weather will be a thing of the past for a year.

Social Feminism & Revolution

The 20th century in Russia began in an unstable political and social environment, proletarian protests arose in the West, and soon the old Russian feudal system began to break down.
Current in Germany at that time, Marxist ideas were slowly conquering the entire industrial world, the oppressed working class actively embraced the ideas of social equality, and soon a leader appeared who was ready to revive these ideas, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, who received his basic education in Western Europe, where the knowledge of Marxist ideas was still He became stronger, and soon after arriving in Russia, he founded the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party, later Patria split into two and divided into Mensheviks and Bolsheviks.
Finally, in 1917, the Bolsheviks, led by Lenin, were able to come to government through a revolution.
The post-revolutionary, transitional period in the Russian Empire can be assessed as very strange, despite Marxist ideas, the Bolsheviks created a new economic system, i.e. a new economic policy, during which the state did not have total control over the market, no matter how strange it is, independent small business trends were also created, which It was unacceptable for Marxist ideology.
The Marxist idea also considered women’s rights as full-fledged, gender equality. According to the revolutionary Leonid Trotsky, the oppression of women and gender imbalance is a plague connected with class differences, and of course, this problem should have been solved under the socialist regime. Women participating in the state revolution began to solve the problem: Rosa Luxemburg, Clara Zetkin, and Alexandra Kollontai.
They soon began to actively campaign against sexism, their main message was that the socialist revolution freed women from bourgeois laws, according to which women were not allowed to make independent decisions, and equated capitalism with oppression and sexism, soon the law for women’s equality was adopted, women were allowed to participate in elections Also on the initiative of Alexandra Kollontai, was started agitation against the destruction of women’s moral rules, sexual intercourse should no longer be a taboo topic for women, and the free will of a woman as an individual should be equal to that of a man, a woman’s main concern should no longer be being a housewife, and it was even necessary for women to be active in the public sphere.
Although these messages of Ms. Alexandra Kollontai are very similar to the narrative of today’s feminist ideology, her liberal feminism was a remnant of the bourgeoisie and had nothing to do with Marxist feminism. In 1919, Kollontai founded the Zhenotdel, which worked to improve the status of women in the Soviet Union. She was a champion of women’s liberation and later came to be recognized as a key figure in Marxist feminism.
Later, the term “domestic slavery” appeared, which was associated with a stereotypical capitalist existence, where a woman was deprived of all rights and had to be a free servant of her working man at home. This problem remained relevant in the world, even in the second half of the twentieth century, women inspired by communist feminism started The formation of movements in Europe and North America, for example, we can cite Angela Davis, who started the fight for women’s rights, in the name of communist feminism in the USA, you know, Marxist ideology was very unpopular in America at that time, but they still dared to openly protest the indifference shown by the Sistas, to women’s rights.
Young people, particularly at university, are often interested in exploring ideas and concepts that they may be coming across for the first time in their lives. The current crisis means that more young people than ever before are looking for ideas that challenge the status quo. This is why the ideas of Marxism are becoming increasingly popular among students at the moment. But this also goes some way to explaining the attraction of feminism to some young people.
Marxists will struggle alongside everyone who wants to fight for a better world, particularly those who are new to political ideas and activity. But Marxists also take a firm approach to our attitude towards the bourgeois democratic demands of academic feminists. Ours is a class position that has nothing in common with those feminists who seek no more than equal exploitation under capitalism. We stand for the complete unity of the working class and the struggle for socialism. This is the only way prejudices can be broken down and the material foundation for a genuinely classless and equal society can be built.

Esperanto Models From Georgia – Among The Caucasus Mountains

My name is Nikoloz Gvasalia, I am a history faculty student, from the Tbilisi State University of Georgia. Currently, I am working
as a volunteer at the Fermata Arts Foundation nonprofit organization. The main function of our organization is to establish peace in the world through culture and art.

Fortunately, I had the opportunity to conduct several informative lectures on Georgian culture and history, a lecture on Esperanto models from Georgia “Among the Caucasus Mountains”, at the end of every lecture, there is a question-and-answer discussion during which a specific detail is discussed.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a department of the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, contains all the majors of MIT University, the department is one of the most prestigious in the world, even though the name of the university is technical, it is a sign that the policy of the educational institution is not focused in only one direction, Which, unfortunately, is often found in other universities.

My presentation includes very interesting anthropological nuances about the first human-like individuals in the Caucasus region, in my project, I will also discuss in detail the uniqueness of ancient Georgian culture and art, independent language families, and scripts that are one of the 14 world scripts. It is also worth noting the great history of Georgian writing during the Georgian Renaissance.

I will be glad if your department, shows interest in my project, and I will have the opportunity to make my presentation which refers to the stages of development of unique Georgian history and art, in the walls of your historic university and make a small contribution to the diversity of education.

I am waiting for your department’s decision, on a possible initial meeting if you see your interest in my presentation.

Sincerely,

With the advent of the industrial revolution, the size and population of cities increased, of course, chaotic development would be the direct end of the world’s urban progress, so in one of the oldest universities in America, the American architect, William Robert Ware, founded this vitally important faculty for the world.

I can proudly say that architecture is an integral part of the centuries-old history of my country, Georgia. In Georgia, there are 1300-year-old temples with a unique style, as well as houses, compactly built following the terrain characteristic of mountainous Georgia.

3/12/2023 Entry 3/4/5/6 ”Ukraine: Dead or Resurrected” – FOR SALE.

Yesterday, February 5, at 14:00, the representatives of the Fermata Art Foundation in Avon made the “Berlin Wall” even more beautiful. We exhibited a banner on which it is written that the miniature art installation initiated by Fermata is for sale under the name: ”Ukraine: Dead or Surrected”. The inscription on the banner offers us to buy this piece of art as a gift for President Zelensky, and the price of this creation will be 1 million dollars under the hammer, but if you decide to buy directly from the counter, the price will be 1 USD.
We are waiting for you all at 24 Brantwood, next to the Berlin Wall!

Visit in Farmington Valley Arts Center

Today, March 6th, at 12:30, I visited the Farmington Valley Arts Center, located in Avon Connecticut, and walked into a very nice plain building, which turned out to be the organization’s office. I entered the administration office room on my own, the building seemed to be empty, but in a few minutes, I met Mrs. Melissa Meredith in the building, first of course I got to know her and told her about my status and background, and after a while, I gave a small presentation about the Fermata Art Foundation, I told her about the initiative of our organization About the projects, first of all, about the active project of children’s drawings, which Fermata has been running for a long time, I also told them about the discussion club that we had formed and explained the importance of such clubs in today’s world, and also invited them to our office at 24 Brantwood and of course offered a presentation, Esperanto models from Georgia, and shared my memories of shopping experiences all over New England.
In the conversation, it turned out that Farmington Valley Arts Center is a non-profit organization, and according to Mrs. Melissa, they are very happy about such positive initiatives. Eventually, we exchanged contact information and I left them promotional leaflets about their projects.

Today, through Fermata’s Berlin Wall, I was allowed to spread our message to the people of Connecticut. This time, the inspiration for our activity is Vasily Kandinsky, one of the founders of abstractionism in painting. The banner was installed today, 3/7/2023, at 3 o’clock, in the vicinity of the Fermata Art Foundation office, and the inscription on the banner reads: Art classes – American style (forms based on Kandinsky The Blue Rider almanac) start at Fermata Arts Foundation @ 24 Brentwood Dr., Avon, CT.
Art classes – Artist-terror- a stud form (forms based on Kandinsky’s The Blue Rider almanac) are active to visit at Farmington Valley Arts Center @ 25 Arts Center Lane, Avon, CT. We hope that similar projects will be the beginning of a friendship with subjects inspired by art.

Youth protests in Georgia

The entire Georgian political elite is completely irresponsible today.
Any political party is vainly trying to take advantage of human resources for personal privileges and will sign bloodshed for it.

The government, on its part, is out of touch with today’s reality, the protest of angry young people is just another provocateurs action for them, and they are baptizing students as Mishistists one by one.

Why is the government in limbo? Due to public passivity, we do not pay much attention to acute social problems in the country, and if we do, we are afraid to protest, because in 3 days, politicians with a dirty past join the rally and the momentum of direct protest dies, the government also believes that everything is fine and the economy is boiling, although the language of the impoverished society The rich political circle will never know.

There is no middle social class in Georgia, there is no such class difference in any post-Soviet country, that’s why we should also understand that the European Union is not the promised land, as long as there is such a social class gap in the country, no one will accept us in EU either.

P.S. protest! curse it! But do not be violent and do not turn into useful idiots for someone.

Curve going to the electronic oscilloscope

Thanks to the global technological leap, our world has turned into an unknown space for us, but at the same time, art remains untouched and tries to adapt to modernity. We are all actors, and each of us plays a role, but in the technological age, each of us is connected to an electronic oscilloscope.
On the world stage, there are still super-countries that have insatiable ambitions to gain imperialist influence, a clear example of this is the current events on the territory of Eastern Europe, where millions of citizens are sacrificed in the process of redistribution of power. Entire families are victims of static hopelessness, and they have to seek refuge in neighboring countries, without any financial support, to rely on themselves. The actions of corrupt officials with a post-Soviet mentality can cause serious consequences. Through the conflict in Ukraine, we saw that inhumane political decisions can lead to the clinical death of an entire nation. Today, almost a third of the nation has left Ukraine, what will happen in the future is unknown, although we can say that the step-by-step activity of the high-ranking officials of the aggressive Russian government has yielded beneficial results for themselves, now the Ukrainian nation, in clinical death, is waiting for heavy artillery instead of developing humanitarian packages.

In parallel, in the Caucasus, Georgia is trying to prevail in all directions. A country with a centuries-old history, just a few years ago, endured the worst military conflict with its northern neighbor, and similarly, the corrupt leaders of the post-Soviet country showed themselves in the disappearance of finances without a trace. However, it must be said that almost no one heard about the war 14 years ago, the world did not see anything then, and that’s why this static passivity of the world caused today’s severe events in Ukraine.

Georgia, as a representative of an ancient civilization and culture in the region, must take a leading position in initiating future international dialogues. To prevent future crises, it is necessary to hold many events for young people, it is necessary to initiate the creation of international dialogue clubs, where young adults will be invited and important topics will be discussed, first of all, cultural and artistic topics that unite us the most. An international forum for debate must be created to allow all independent-minded young people to express their thoughts, young people must discuss religious values and similarities in traditions, and adults must clearly distinguish topics such as the damage caused by racism to the world, discrimination and hatred as the origin of evil and violence so on.

The leaders of the democratic world must take into account the importance of social activism in the Eastern European region. The development of events with such a diagrammatic principle will bring catastrophic results in the future, not only for the region but for the whole world.

Meeting In kyrgyzstan embassy

On February 27, the team of Fermata Art Foundation visited Washington DC, within the framework of the visit, we met with the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the USA, Mr. Baktybek A. Amanbaev, the meeting was very productive and informative. He gave us a cultural and geographical presentation and added that the choice of the Kyrgyz nation is the path of democratic development, therefore the country is open to foreign investments to democratize this Central Asian country as quickly as possible.

According to Mr. Amanbaev, the country has great potential, from a geographical point of view, because Kyrgyzstan is located at the crossroads of civilizations, and historically, the legendary Silk Road passed through this Central Asian country. I told the ambassador that the present and the history of Georgia and Kyrgyzstan are very similar, both countries have had a difficult way maintaining their identity throughout history and both countries are going through the most difficult period in the cycle of democratization, and I also told him that the activities of Fermata Art are in perfect harmony for Kyrgyzstan. Priority, in terms of promotion.

Ms. Tatyana Ishutkina and Mr. Nikolai Synkov, Ambassador presented past experiences and meetings of foreign representatives with local governments, and during the meeting, Fermata presented future projects that will be informative and will involve young people living in post-Soviet countries, which will primarily affect positively In the promotion of Kyrgyzstan in the United States of America.

The ambassador also expressed a great desire to give an opportunity through Fermata to hold an informative lecture in the higher education institutions of New England and get to know Kyrgyzstan, which is promising for young people, standing on the path of democracy.
At the end of the meeting, Fermata Art presented to the embassy the pictures of American children drawn within the framework of the children’s project, made especially for their Kyrgyz peers.
